KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Shehryar Khan has alleged Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of politicising a sports event in Lahore and announced that final of PSL 2018 would be held in Karachi.

Statement of the PCB chief has come in context of holding of Pakistan Super League’s final match in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on March 5.

He talked to the media after inaugurating an enclosure at Gaddafi Stadium.

Khan accused PTI chief of conducting politics over the forthcoming event that in actuality is good for Pakistan’s soft image as well as promotion of sports in the country.

He announced on the occassion that final match of PSL 2018 would be held in Karachi.

Shehryar Khan further said that the cricket board and the PSL secretariat did what the people had wanted and there should be no politics and point-scoring over the league.

Najam Sethi, Chairman of Pakistan Super League who accompanied the PCB chief for the inauguration ceremony said that the two teams that would qualify for the final clash would have at least eight foreign players each and no spectator would be let in the stadium without an original Computerised National Identity Card.
