Chief Selector also revealed that they didn't get chance to prepare, plan for Australia tour

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Chief Selector of Pakistan cricket team and former star batsman Inzamam ul Haq stayed defensive while commenting on the Australia tour. He had a presser on Friday in which he revealed some reasons of the disappointing perfomance by team.

While pointing out the root cause, Inzamam disclosed that players suffer from fitness related issues. “One after another match left us with no time to make big plannings”, he defended.

The Chief Selector admitted that fitness of Pakistan players is not up to the international level. However, he praised the Pakistan Test skipper Misbah ul Haq and suggested that he will be consulted in the future.

Moreover, he made it clear that Azhar Ali will remain as the captain of ODI side which is currently being led by Mohammad Hafeez who is a stand-in captain. Azhar Ali is suffering from a hamstring injury which he got while playing in the first ODI against Aussies.

Inzamam also looked hopeful for Pakistan Super League as he told that they are ready to host PSL final in Lahore. Meanwhile, Australia leads the 5 ODI series by 2-1.
