KARACHI: (Dunya News) – The new head coach of Pakistan Women’s cricket team has on Monday joined the training camp of the national team. Captain Sana Mir said that Kabir’s appointment would be beneficial for the national team, reported Dunya News.

The national women’s cricket team finally got its new head coach after 16 days. The new coach has joined the camp and will prepare the team for World Cup qualifiers. He has replaced former Pakistan Test player Basit Ali as the head coach.

Talking on the occasion, Kabir Khan said that the women’s team was quite capable and all they needed was a direction.

Sana Mir said on the occasion that the girls will do their best to perform well in the World Cup qualifiers. She further said that the team needed a coach desperately. She added that the players will try to benefit from Kabir Khan’s experience as much as possible.
