Former Test cricketer Mudassar Nazar appointed Academies Director
Mudassar Nazar says bowling actions of 70 bowlers during his previous tenure were found suspicious
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Foremer Test cricketer Mudassar Nazar has on Thursday taken over as Academies Director for a term of three years. He said on the occasion that the bowling action of 70 bowlers had been found suspicious during his previous tenure at the academy, reported Dunya News.
Holding a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Nazar said that the academy was ten years behind its time. He said that the job of the academy was to provide new cricketers, especially off-spinners and all-rounders.
Mudassar Nazar said that academies will be established in all the regions. He made it clear that improvement could not be expected immediately but it will eventually be made better with the help of former star cricketers.
“There were 70 bowlers with suspicious bowling actions during my previous tenure but they could not be banned due to poor system”, said Nazar.
