LAHORE (Dunya News) – National cricket coach Waqar Younis said on Wednesday that dropping Sarfaraz Ahmed is not part of any conspiracy. He said that he is performing duties with utmost sincerity and is impartial to negative criticism, reported Dunya News.
Talking to a foreign news agency, coach Waqar Younis said that the decision to drop Sarfaraz Ahmed is not part of any conspiracy adding that experimentation is being done with team selection keeping World T20 2016 in mind.
Waqar Younis said that he does not take every decision alone adding that captain, general managers and selection committee also play a vital role in decisions.
Praising Sarfaraz Ahmed, Waqar Younis said that the wicket keeper batsman is a vital part of the team and is the upcoming captain of the T20 squad after Shahid Afridi retires. He said that he is discharging his duties with utmost sincerity and is impartial to negative criticism.
