PCB fines 11 including Shahid Afridi for inapt fitness
11 players were fined while 5 players will be rewarded for displaying best fitness by PCB
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has fined 11 players of the national team including Twenty-20 format skipper Shahid Khan Afridi for inappropriate fitness. 5 players will be rewarded for displaying best fitness as well.
According to the new scheme formed by PCB, fitness tests will be conducted every three months. 11 players were fined according to the same scheme while 5 were rewarded. The 11 players fined include Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal and Abdur Rehman.
25 percent will be deducted from the central contract fee of the player who displays poor fitness. Players displaying best fitness included Misbahul Haq, Ahmad Shahzad, Bilalwal Bhatti, Umar Amin and Shan Masood.
