SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates (AFP) - Pakistan were 291-6 at close on the third day of the third and final Test against Sri Lanka in Sharjah on Saturday.

Skipper Misbah-ul Haq was batting on 36 as Sarfraz Ahmed fell in the last over for five.

Pakistan still trail Sri Lanka s first innings total of 428-9 declared by 137 runs with four wickets intact.

Opener Ahmed Shehzad hit 147 for his maiden hundred in only his second Test while Khurram Manzoor made 52.

Spinner Rangana Herath took 3-88.

Sri Lanka lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the second Test by nine wickets in Dubai. The first Test ended as a draw in Abu Dhabi.
