Two lakh labours have lost their jobs due to strikes.

At least 2 lakh power looms in Faisalabad remained closed for second consecutive day in protest against hike in sales tax.Strike of textile sizing factories is also continued from last week. The Federal Board of Revenue has called the textile organisations to Islamabad for talks. According to labour organisations, 2 lakh labours have lost their jobs due to strikes. Traders’ organisations have also called their emergency meeting tomorrow to take decision on shutter down strike.
