Govt and FBR's statistics over tax payers details contradict
Number of active tax payers, according to the board of revenue is 9.80 lac
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Number of the people, provided by the government, who submitted details of annual tax returns does not match with that given by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), reported Thursday.
Number of active tax payers, according to the board of revenue is 9.80 lac while according to the government it is over 10 lac.
Those who file details of their taxes and assets in form of statements are known as active tax payers.
Experts have said that either FBR’s list needs to be updated or government’s claims are false.
