Reduced furnace oil price likely to cut power tariff
The reduction will make power production cheaper while curb inflation
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Furnace oil price has plunged by Rs 2,500 while the decrease is likely to cut power tariff, Dunya News reported Thursday.
Imported furnace oil price has seen a Rs 2,558 cut revising the price at Rs 21,226 per tonne while local furnace oil price has lowered by Rs 870 taking it to Rs 24,343 per tonne.
Economic experts have said that power tariff is likely to be reduced owing to cheaper furnace oil.
The reduction will make production cheaper while curb inflation.
The decrease in furnace oil price has come in after cut in prices in international market.
