PIA issues tenders for purchasing of 6 aircrafts

Boeing and small airbuses would be purchased to increase strength flights of PIA.

 

KARACHI (Online) - Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has issued tenders on national and international level for the purchasing of 6 aeroplanes.

 

Sources said that boeing and small airbuses would be purchased to increase strength flights of PIA. In 3 months process of tender would be completed and till November 4 aircrafts will be inducted in airline’s fleet.

 

As per details, PIA Board approved to get 5 Boeing 777 in last years, these planes will be purchased in 2015, but before that it has been decided to get 6 small planes on lease to make fleet strong and viable.

 

Currently, PIA have 32 aircrafts out of them 25 are operational while all other are standing for maintenance.
