All Pakistan Textile Mills Association Chairman Anwar Tata said in an interview that Pakistans exports include 2/3 of textile products. He said that Pakistan exported 10 billion dollars worth of textile products last year. Due to financial recovery at international level, Pakistani products demand would be increased and textile exports would reach 13 billion dollars. He said that Pakistan imported 2 million bales of cotton for the preparation of textile products. He said that 10.2 million bales of cotton are expected to be produced this year. Pakistan is facing problems like energy crisis and high interest rate. But the industry is striving hard to increase the exports of textile products.
