LPG price goes up by Rs.15/ kg
As winter sets in, marketing companies have increased the price of LPG by Rs 10 to 15 per kilogram.
ISLAMABAD:-Chairman LPG Distributors Association Muhammad Irfan Khokhar told here on Wednesday that as per Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) rules, the price should have been increased after announcement from authorities concerned but marketing companies have increased price with immediate effect that is absolutely unfair.
He said that price of domestic cylinder has increased to Rs 60 while commercial cylinder has been increased by Rs 40.
LPG price has increased from Rs 135 to 145 per kg in Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhelum and Faisalabad and price of domestic cylinder has been increased to Rs 1690 in Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar khan, Muree, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Attock, Peshawar, Mardan and Batkhela. LPG price has been upped from Rs 150 to 160 per kg and domestic cylinder has been increased to R s1870.
With the advent of cold wave in hilly areas of Gilgit-Baltistan price of LPG has been hiked to Rs 200 per kg.
In Gilgit Baltistan price of domestic cylinder has been increased to Rs 2350.
LPG price in AJK has been increased from Rs 180 to Rs 190 while domestic cylinder has been put on for sale by Rs 2230.
Chairman LPG Distribution Association Irfan Khokhar said that LPG price has been decreased by $50 in international market while LPG mafia in the country has increased the prices without any justification.
He said that marketing companies in the pretext of suspension of Jamshoro plant has increased the price which is unjust and unfair.
He said that for the first time in the history of the country LPG prices have been touched Rs 200 per kg in Gilgit Baltistan and government should take notice of it.
Irfan Khokhar said that LPG marketing companies and mafia are doing black marketing and earning unjustified profit.
Khokhar requested Competitive Commission of Pakistan (CCP) and Supreme Court to take notice of this ‘lawlessness’ and to provide maximum relief to the masses.
