Pakistan team leaves for New Zealand tour

The cricketers posed for pictures wearing green blazers, and excited to represent their country

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan team departed for the New Zealand tour from Lahore as they will play five ODIs and three T20Is.

The cricketers were photographed before the departure wearing green blazers. The squad includes a variety of young and old players.

Before the departure, the team met the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi. He directed the players to follow disciplinary codes and continue their sublime form after winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.



Players will first reach Dubai after which they will fly direct to Auckland. The team in both formats will be captained by wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmed.

The green shirts will begin their New Zealand tour with a practice match on January 3. The first ODI match between Pakistan and New Zealand will be held on January 6 in Wellington.



Some cricketers including Shoaib Malik, Sarfraz Ahmed and others went to the residence of ex-player and coach Mushtaq Ahmed who tweeted, "Thanks for coming over to my house guys. Thoroughly enjoyed your company. Hope you all have a wonderful year ahead. Duaaain!"
