(Web Desk) – New Zealand’s batsman Ross Taylor on Wednesday stirred controversy as he violated game’s rules and lodged complained to the umpire about bowling action of Mohammad Hafeez.

The incident happened in the eighteenth over.

Pakistan’s skipper Sarfraz was clearly not happy with Taylor’s action.

As per rules of International Cricket Council, the authority to judge action of a bowler lies with the on-field umpire. The batsman has no right or jurisdiction to do so.

It would be suffice here to say that ICC had suspended Hafeez as many as three times over illegal bowling action in the past.
