WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States is preparing to launch a “third wave” of military action against Iran, alleging that the country’s top leadership and military capabilities have already suffered severe damage in earlier strikes.
Speaking to the media at the Oval Office ahead of a meeting with the German Chancellor, Trump said Iran’s navy, air force, radar systems, and air surveillance infrastructure had been “almost completely destroyed.”
According to Trump, 49 people were killed in the initial strike, and a meeting convened for the selection of new leadership was also targeted. He further claimed that many individuals believed to be part of Iran’s potential new leadership had been killed and warned that any emerging leadership could also come under attack in third round.
Trump stated that the joint U.S.-Israeli operation aims to dismantle Iran’s nuclear and missile programs and weaken the current system.
Meanwhile, Iran has reportedly retaliated by targeting U.S. military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh. Reports also suggest that Hezbollah has joined the conflict in support of Iran, launching attacks against Israel.
