LAHORE (Web Desk) - The last lunar eclipse of the year 2023 is all set to appear today in different parts of the world including Pakistan. 

According to a report published by the Earth Sky, it will be a partial penumbral lunar eclipse that will be seen for the second and last time in 2023. 

The lunar eclipse will occur just two weeks after the last solar eclipse of 2023 was seen on Oct 14.

Earlier, the lunar eclipse was seen in May 2023 this year. 

Where will it be seen? 

The eclipse will be visible in parts of Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, North/East South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic and Antarctica.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the lunar eclipse would start in Pakistan today (Saturday) at 11:02pm (local time).

It would be at peak at 01:14am and end at 03:26am on Sunday. 

What is a lunar eclipse?

Lunar eclipses take place when the Earth positions itself between the sun and the moon. It can only occur during a full moon and gives an eye-catching view of sky.
