Kashmiri woman killed, several injured in Indian troops' firing in Shopian

The Indian troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters.

SRIANAGAR (Dunya News) - In Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK), a woman was killed and over one dozen people were injured in the firing of Indian troops on protesters in Shopian, the Kashmir Media Service reported on Tuesday.

The incident occurred when people took to the streets in different areas of Shopian against the killing of two youth by the troops during a violent siege and search operation in Wanipora area of the district.

The troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters resulting in the killing of a young woman identified as wife of Manzoor Ahmad and injuring of several others. The woman received a bullet in abdomen.

Massive clashes between the protesters and Indian forces’ personnel are going on while situation is tense in Shopian.

The puppet authorities have snapped the mobile internet services in Shopian district and suspended the train service in the Kashmir Valley.
