Panic, evacuation after phone charger fire erupts at London station
Flames and smoke were reported at London's Tower Hill Tube station which caused mass evacuation
LONDON (Dunya News) – People in high number panicked and mass evacuation was followed after fire erupted in London s Tower Hill Tube station, British media reported on Tuesday.
The probable cause of the flames and smoke was a phone charger. People reacted to the horrific picture and quickly evacuated the station as soon as possible.
Several terrified passengers were injured due to a stampede. According to reports, the charger became overheated, resulting into minor explosion and flames. One person was injured due to eruption of fire. Scenes of panic in passengers can be seen in pictures that went afloat on social media.
Police confirmed that the incidents occurred due to the mobile charger and there was nothing suspicious other than that.
