LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Team of the Tournament for Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 has been announced, with title-winning Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam appointed as skipper in recognition of his outstanding batting and leadership.
The selected squad includes three players each from Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen, two each from Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United, and one player each from Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators.
The team was chosen by a five-member jury comprising a renowned commentary panel, while a separate emerging team featuring rising players was also named.
PSL 11 matches were held from March 26 to May 3 in Lahore and Karachi, with a total of 44 matches played.

Babar Azam, opening the batting, scored 588 runs to win the Hanif Mohammad Cap as the tournament’s top scorer.
He also equaled Fakhar Zaman’s 2022 record for most runs in a single season and scored two centuries against Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.
Other Peshawar Zalmi players included in the team are Kusal Mendis and Sufiyan Muqeem.
Mendis scored 550 runs and claimed eight dismissals as wicketkeeper, while Muqeem took 22 wickets and was named player of the tournament as well as best bowler.
From Hyderabad Kingsmen, Usman Khan, Hasan Khan, and emerging player Hunain Shah were selected.

Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Shah Afridi also earned spots following impressive performances.
Multan Sultans’ Shan Masood was included after scoring 367 runs, while Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan secured his place with an all-round performance, alongside Richard Gleeson.
Quetta Gladiators’ Hasan Nawaz, who scored 291 runs, was named as the 12th man.
The squad is being regarded as a strong combination of the tournament’s standout performers.
