Pakistan beats Egypt in final to win world junior Squash championship in Poland

WARSAW (Dunya News) – Pakistan won the World Squash championship on Wednesday in Warsaw, Poland after beating Egypt in the final, reported Dunya News.

Shaukat Abbas defeated Marwan Tariq in the first match to give Pakistan lead but Egypt’s Yousaf Ibrahim levelled the match by beating Ayaz Ahsan of Pakistan in the second match. In the deciding, third match Israr Ahmad of Pakistan defeated Saaduddin Abu Aish in straight games to win the championship for Pakistan for the first time since 2008.

Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif congratulated the team on victory and said that he was happy to see Pakistan squash do well. He also hoped that Pakistan will win more titles in future and will get back their status of rulers of Squash world.
