Barbara Ann Scott, who won Canadians only Olympic title in womens figure skating, died Sunday. She was 84.Her death was confirmed by Skate Canada. The Canadian Press said the cause of death wasnt known.Scott won the Olympic title at the 1948 Games in St. Moritz, and won the Lou Marsh Trophy as Canadas top athlete in 1945, 1947 and 1948.She was inducted into Canadas Sports Hall of Fame in 1955. Scott became an officer of the Order of Canada in 1991, was inducted into the International Womens Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 and was named to Canadas Walk of Fame in 1998.In 2009, she carried the Olympic torch into the House of Commons on its journey to Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Games.
