QWP Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao says political parties failed to deliver to Pakhtuns.

PESHAWAR: Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Sunday said the political parties representing Pakhtuns had failed to properly guide them in view of the changing geo-political situation in the region.

He said this while talking to the newly elected party’s organizer for Canada, Farman Khan, at the party’s provincial secretariat here on Sunday.

“The Pakhtuns not only in Pakistan, but those living abroad have been exposed to a host of problems owing to the ill-conceived policies and practices of the traditional politicians. The Pakhtuns residing in Canada have rendered great services for Pakistan. They are making contribution to strengthen the country’s economy by sending remittances,” he maintained.

The QWP leader directed Farman Khan to set up the party’s organizational structure in Canada in order to unite the Pakhtuns living there.

Aftab Sherpao said the Pakhtuns had been grappling with a myriad of challenges for several decades and their problems were increasing with each passing day.

“We renamed the party in a bid to give voice and confidence to the Pakhtuns. We will not leave them in the lurch and will continue making effort to remove their sense of deprivation,” he pledged.

Farman Khan thanked the party leadership for reposing confidence in him and vowed that he would work hard to band together the Pakhtuns living in Canada at one platform.

He said the problems confronting the Pakhtuns dwelling in Canada would be addressed on priority basis so that they could whole-heartedly serve their motherland.
