Sheikhupura: Firing in marriage ceremony kills one

Aerial firing during a marriage ceremony killed a teenaged girl and injured another in Sheikhupura.

According to details, the friends of groom resorted to indiscriminate aerial firing just before the departure of Barat in Sheesh Mahal area of Sheikhupura due to which 12-year-old Iqra and 14-year-old Shazia were injured who were standing on the rooftop.The injured girls were shifted to nearby hospital where Iqra succumbed to her injuries while the condition of Shazia is stated to be critical.Police have registered a case against seven persons, including groom and his father, however no arrest has been made yet.
