Summary Says efforts were underway to complete the ongoing development projects as soon as possible, paving the way for the rehabilitation of another 140 roads across the city.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab visited ongoing development projects across the city late at night to review the progress of construction and infrastructure improvement works here on Wednesday.
During the visit, the mayor inspected power block development work in Bhangoria Town, located in Karachi’s Central District, and reviewed ongoing projects in other areas, including the Small Industrial Area.
Wahab said efforts were underway to complete the ongoing development projects as soon as possible, paving the way for the rehabilitation of another 140 roads across the city.
Commenting on criticism of the development initiatives, the mayor said some critics were unhappy with the pace and scale of work being carried out in Karachi.
He maintained that serving citizens and resolving their problems remained the top priority of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), adding that the city administration was working in line with the vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The mayor further said measures were being taken to improve conditions in areas of the Central District that, according to him, had remained under the administration of previous rulers for an extended period.
He emphasized that the city’s problems should be addressed through practical steps rather than political statements, reiterating the administration’s focus on development and public service.
