PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said the government has no option but to accept his demands, warning that any move without formally declaring an emergency or imposing governor’s rule would amount to rebellion.

In his statement on the changing political situation in the province, Afridi said there was no alternative to accepting their demands. Challenging those considering such measures, he said they should have the courage to make a formal announcement.

He said his government would not back down from its constitutional and legal demands under any circumstances. He added that the long march would continue in accordance with the Constitution and the law until their demands were fulfilled.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister further said that if an emergency or governor’s rule were formally announced, people would forget the example of Türkiye.
