LAHORE (Dunya News) - Flight operations at major airports across Pakistan were disrupted on Friday amid heightened tensions in Gulf countries, with 42 flights cancelled and 68 others delayed, leaving thousands of passengers facing travel difficulties.

Airport sources said the cancellations and delays affected several airports, with flight schedules disrupted for between two and seven hours.

Passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia were among those hardest hit, particularly Umrah pilgrims whose travel plans were affected by flight cancellations.

According to airport sources, several flights at airports across Saudi Arabia were cancelled due to security concerns, contributing to disruptions in flight operations in Pakistan.

Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport reported 13 flight cancellations and 12 delays. At Karachi airport, 10 flights were cancelled and 13 delayed, while Islamabad airport recorded nine cancellations and eight delays.
