ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s Foreign Office has categorically rejected India’s statement regarding a temple in Ada Siraj, Narowal, saying the place of worship was damaged by torrential rains.
Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan said Pakistan categorically rejects the Indian statement regarding the Narowal temple, adding that the Indian Ministry of External Affairs issued a false statement to serve political interests.
The spokesperson said, contrary to Indian propaganda, the temple was damaged by torrential rains on July 21, 2026. He added that the local administration had already conducted a survey and rehabilitation measures had been initiated.

Sajjad Haider Khan said it was shameful that India was distorting facts and resorting to cheap theatrics. He said deliberate attempts to distort facts could not divert attention from India’s extremely poor record of systematic exploitation of minorities and state-sponsored attacks on their places of worship.
The Foreign Office said the world was well aware of the use of the Hindutva ideology as a weapon against minorities and called on the international community to hold the Indian leadership accountable for the ongoing persecution of Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities.
