Summary Says Muslim unity vital to peace, and prosperity
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi has said it is not right to link madrassas to terrorism and extremism without investigation.
Addressing a ceremony here on Sunday, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said if any madrassa is involved in giving training of terrorism or extremism, he will personally support action against it.
He said religious and political forces should come together to solve the country's problems. He described the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement as a symbol of the unity and solidarity of the Muslim Ummah and said that its doors are open to all.
The Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council added that if the Muslim Ummah is united, its importance in the world can increase further.
