(Dunya News) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Friday said the shared interests and destinies of Iran and Pakistan had become more closely linked than ever, stressing the need to further strengthen bilateral ties.
In a message marking Pakistan’s Independence Day, Pezeshkian congratulated the Pakistani nation and described the occasion as an opportunity to recognise the country’s achievements.
He said Pakistan’s Independence Day could serve as a fresh opportunity to broaden and deepen the long-standing and strategic relationship between the two neighbouring countries.
The Iranian president reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to expanding comprehensive relations with Pakistan, saying Iran was ready to take further practical steps to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
He emphasised the importance of mutual trust and respect and said both countries should make greater use of their existing potential and shared opportunities.
Pezeshkian said the need for closer coordination and cooperation between Iran and Pakistan had become more important than before, given their increasingly connected interests and destinies.
He also expressed his best wishes for Pakistan’s continued development, prosperity and progress, while praying for further consolidation of the long-standing fraternal relations between the two countries.
