MAKKAH (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir and other Pakistani officials on Thursday performed Umrah during their visit to Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Atta Tarar and others were also part of the delegation.
The delegation prayed for the welfare of the country and peace in the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday with a high-level delegation, where he was received by Jeddah Governor Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to hold an important meeting with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
According to sources, the two leaders are expected to hold detailed discussions on Pakistan-Saudi Arabia bilateral relations, investment, regional developments and various aspects of mutual cooperation.
The meeting is also expected to focus on expanding trade, economic collaboration and investment, further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, and exploring new avenues of cooperation across multiple sectors.
The high-level engagement is being viewed as an important step towards deepening the longstanding brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and advancing shared strategic and economic interests.
