Summary Says CM Maryam Nawaz is extremely saddened by the tragedy
LAHORE (Dunya News) - On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, her adviser Zeeshan Malik along with top officials reached the homes of the children who died in a roof collapse of a private tuition centre in Kahna area here on Tuesday.
Zeeshan Malik expressed his condolences to the affected families amidst sighs, sobs, and a mournful atmosphere, and comforted the families in this hour of distress by saying, ‘we are with you’.
He said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is extremely saddened by the tragedy, adding all possible help will be provided to the affected families, and they will not be left alone in difficult times.
At least 14 children were killed and several others injured after the roof of a school academy collapsed in Lahore’s Kahna area.
According to Punjab Health Minister, the death toll from the tragic incident has reached 14. Rescue officials said around 20 to 25 people, including a female teacher and mostly young children, were present inside the tuition center at the time of the collapse.
