In an official order, the commission said the results would remain suspended until re-polling at certain polling stations is completed. Final results in several constituencies across Skardu, Astore and Diamer have also been temporarily halted.
Returning officers have been instructed not to open postal ballots, conduct counting or issue final results until further notice. The order states that constituency-wise final results will only be compiled after the re-polling results are included.

The development comes after polling at the Loshi Thak women’s polling station in GBA-15 was declared void due to violence and law-and-order disturbances during voting. Stone-pelting and firing disrupted polling, and many voters were unable to cast their ballots despite around 200 votes being recorded.
Polling staff were later evacuated under security protection, and the commission ordered fresh voting at the station on June 15, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. without interruption.
The Election Commission said all arrangements for the re-polling would be personally supervised by the returning officer for GBA-15 to ensure transparent, fair and lawful elections.
