ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The government has decided to introduce legislation for the establishment of commercial courts across the country to facilitate faster resolution of business and trade-related disputes.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has constituted a committee to prepare legislation for the establishment of commercial courts across Pakistan.

The eight-member committee will be headed by Azam Nazeer Tarar, who will oversee the drafting of the proposed legislation. The committee includes Mansoor Usman Awan, Bilal Azhar Kayani, and the Secretary of Law, among other members.

The committee has been tasked with preparing recommendations and a legislative framework for the creation of commercial courts. It is required to submit its report to the Prime Minister within 45 days.
