QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan Chief MIister Sarfaraz Bugti revealed that law enforcement agencies had apprehended a female suicide bomber who was trapped and brainwashed by terrorists.

She was assigned a task to carry out a suicide attack in Islamabad, the chief minister said while addressing a press conference. He added the plot was aimed at a target in the capital city and was intercepted through timely action by law enforcement agencies.

Bugti explained that terrorist groups often manipulate and coerce women into carrying out attacks, sometimes threatening family members to ensure compliance.

The arrested woman stated that her cousin had pressured her to work for the banned group BLA, threatening her father’s life if she refused. She admitted to sending mobile cards and preparing items for the group, without knowing their exact purpose, before discovering they were intended for terrorist attack.

The woman also revealed that she was being psychologically conditioned for a suicide attack but was detained by police before any action could be carried out. Authorities emphasized that the detained woman is being treated with dignity in custody.

Chief Minister Bugti condemned the use of women in terrorism, stating that the perpetrators often operate under external influences and exploiting girls for violent purposes is disgraceful.
