Summary ECP postpones all April 20 hearings as Islamabad’s Red Zone shifts to work-from-home; staff to stay at stations and report if needed, new dates to be announced later
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has postponed all hearings scheduled for April 20, 2026, in light of the federal government’s work-from-home directive for Islamabad.
According to an official statement, all cases set for hearing on that day have been delisted, with new dates to be announced later. Relevant parties will be informed in due course.
This decision aligned with the federal government’s instructions for work-from-home arrangements in the capital’s Red Zone, which houses key ministries, divisions, and federal offices.
The cabinet secretariat’s notification confirms that all staff in Red Zone offices will work from home on April 20, while officers and essential personnel are required to remain at their stations and be ready to report to the office on short notice if needed.
