ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The district administration of Islamabad has announced the closure of several popular hiking trails in the federal capital, effective from April 20, 2026, until further notice.
The trails affected include Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5, and the trail behind Saidpur Village.
Officials stated that the decision to close the trails has been taken in the public interest and for administrative reasons. The notification specifies that all public activities on these trails are strictly prohibited until new orders are issued.

To ensure compliance, the district administration has instructed relevant authorities, including the Chief Commissioner’s Office, Islamabad Police, CDA, Ministry of Interior, and PEMRA, to take necessary measures.
Authorities have emphasized strict security arrangements and urged citizens to adhere fully to the orders, avoiding the closed trails during the suspension period.
