LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has expressed deep sorrow over the reported assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and appealed to the public to demonstrate restraint.

In her statement issued from Lahore, Bokhari termed the recent attacks on Iran and the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei as “extremely tragic,” saying Pakistan shares heartfelt grief over the incident.

She said Pakistan has extended diplomatic and moral support to Iran and clearly condemned the attack against the country at the United Nations.

The provincial minister appealed to religious parties and citizens across Pakistan to remain patient and avoid taking the law into their own hands. She warned that turning protests violent or creating unrest would only serve hostile agendas.

Bokhari stressed that it is a collective responsibility to keep emotions in check, ensure protests remain peaceful, and prevent any damage or instability within the country.
She added that national unity and stability are Pakistan’s greatest strengths at this critical time.
