Ten government school rooftops allocated for Basant in Lahore's Walled City

Lahore authorities allocated rooftops of 10 government schools in Walled City areas for Basant, ordering round-the-clock duty and warning heads against poor arrangements.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Preparations for the Basant festival are under way as the rooftops of 10 government schools in the Walled City of Lahore have been allocated for kite-flying activities.

The Lahore Education Authority has submitted a report to the School Education Department identifying the selected schools. These include Government High Schools at Bhaati Gate, Delhi Gate, Syed Mitha Bazaar, and Shah Alam Gate.

The list also includes Government Victoria Girls High School, Takiya Sadhwan, Kabli Mill, and Chuna Mandi. Supervisory staff at these schools have been directed to remain on duty round-the-clock for three days during Basant.

Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners will visit the schools to review arrangements. In case of poor management or negligence, the concerned heads will be held responsible.
