Owner among six booked in Gulberg hotel fire case

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police have registered a case against six people including the owner of a hotel after a fire broke out at a private hotel in Gulberg here on Saturday.
According to the police, the case was registered by Gulberg Police Station on the complaint of Chief Instructor, Civil Defence, Rashid Rafique.
Hotel owner Nadeem Mirza, Fazeel Ahmed Khan, Atif Muhammad, Kamil Khan, Bilal Shah and Muhammad Masaib have been named in the case.

According to the FIR, a boiler was installed in the basement of the hotel, which was being operated through an illegal Sui gas connection.
The person operating the boiler was inexperienced, which increased the risk of an accident.
The FIR also states that the hotel management had previously been issued a notice for not completing security measures, but despite this, negligence was shown.
Police have registered the case under various sections and started investigation.
