Rangers deployment in Karachi extended for another year

The Sindh government has extended Rangers' deployment in Karachi for another year, effective from December 9, 2025, to assist police in combating terrorism and supporting law enforcement
(Web Desk) – The Sindh government has approved the extension of the deployment of Rangers in Karachi for an additional year.
The decision was made during a meeting of the Sindh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
A spokesperson for the chief minister said the Rangers will continue to assist the police under the powers granted to them by the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The new deployment period will be effective from December 9, 2025. Rangers will maintain their role in combating terrorism and supporting law enforcement efforts in Karachi.
