Partial strike held across Punjab over lawyer's 'killing' in Vehari

Punjab Bar Council has made it clear that the protest movement will continue until action is taken against those responsible
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lawyers are observing a partial strike today in subordinate courts across Punjab, including Lahore.
The strike follows a protest call by the Punjab Bar Council against the alleged killing of a local lawyer in Vehari at the hands of the police.
Chairman Executive of the Punjab Bar Council, Zubairullah Nagra, announced the strike across the province and urged lawyers not to appear in subordinate courts today.
The Punjab Bar Council stated that lawyer Muhammad Zeeshan was killed by police gunfire, which they strongly condemn. The council demands that the personnel involved in the incident be immediately arrested and proceeded against according to the law.
