QUETTA (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule for local government elections in Quetta. According to the ECP, polling for the local government elections in Quetta will be held on Sunday, December 28.
As per the ECP schedule, the nomination papers may be submitted from November 13 to November 17. The list of nominated candidates will be published on November 18, while scrutiny of nomination papers by the returning officer will take place from November 19 to November 24.
The last date for appeals against the returning officer’s decisions has been set as November 28 while the Election Tribunal expected to decide the appeals by December 3, after which the revised list of candidates will be published on December 4.
Furthermore, after the withdrawal of candidates, the final revised list will be published on December 5, while election symbols will be allotted to candidates on December 6 and polling will take place on December 28.
