Direct flights between Pakistan and Iran launched to boost tourism, trade

ISLAMABAD (Zeeshan Yousafzai) – Direct flights between Pakistan and Iran have officially begun, Pakistan’s Iranian Ambassador Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam announced.

Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam stated that the air agreement between Iran and Pakistan has been successfully finalised. He added that the agreement was made possible particularly due to the recent visit of the Iranian President and mutual coordination. He also expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for its cooperation and facilitation.

The Iranian envoy informed that Iran’s well-known airline, Iran Air Tour, will operate the first direct flight to Islamabad. He said that this step will promote tourism, strengthen people-to-people contacts, and further enhance business relations between the two countries.

He congratulated the people of both nations, as well as those connected with tourism and the business community.

Reza Amiri Moghadam added that he hopes the direct flight will give tourism a major boost, with Iranian visitors enjoying Pakistan’s breathtaking landscapes and renowned hospitality
