Maryam Nawaz visits flood-hit areas of Gujrat

Authorities adds that citizens from vulnerable areas have been shifted to safe places
GUJRAT (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz paid a visit to flood-affected areas of Gujrat on Friday to take stock of ongoing relief and rescue operations.
During the visit, she met with affected women, listened to their problems, and distributed gifts among the flood victims. Officials also briefed her about the medical facilities being provided to families staying in relief camps.
The district administration informed the Chief Minister that water drainage efforts were underway, while arrangements had been made for livestock with sufficient fodder and veterinary doctors available.
Authorities added that citizens from vulnerable areas had been shifted to safe places. At present, 20 relief camps are up and running across Gujrat to house and support displaced families.
