Egg thrown at Aleema Khan outside Adiala jail during media talk

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – An egg was hurled at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khanum on Friday during a press conference in Rawalpindi.

A viral video shows her talking to media when an egg is thrown at her, leaving her shocked. Her sister Uzma Khan and lawyer were also present when the incident took place outside the Adiala jail. 

Police have taken two women into custody and shifted them to Adiala police station. Police said the women got enraged and hurled the egg after Aleema did not respond to their questions. 

"We are not worried if someone attacks us — we knew this would happen," the PTI founder’s sister said following the egg attack.

After making the statement, Aleema Khan avoided answering questions from reporters outside Adiala Jail and chose to sit in her vehicle instead.

Earlier, a heated exchange occurred between PTI leaders, supporters, and journalists. The PTI workers became agitated when tough questions were posed to Aleema Khan.
Speaking outside Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan stated that people will not accept injustice as their anger is evident from their eyes.

She added that the PTI founder is the voice of the people, advocating for democracy and the rule of law. "They want to silence the voice of the PTI founder," she said.
