Floodwater to reach Guddu Barrage in two days: CM Sindh

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday said that there is severe flooding at Head Trimmu, and it will take two days for the water to reach Guddu Barrage.
Speaking to the media, CM Murad Ali Shah said that between 800,000 to 110,000 cusecs of water is expected to enter Sindh. "We need to protect people and their livestock," he added, mentioning that assistance has been sought from the Pakistan Army and Navy.
He emphasized that the days between September 4 and 6 will be crucial and added that the Sindh government is prepared to handle flows ranging from 800,000 to 110,000 cusecs.
Murad Ali Shah visited the Flood Control Room at the Secretariat to review the monitoring of the flood situation and instructed the administration to remain alert in all circumstances.
The Chief Minister also met with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, who was briefed on the flood situation. Bilawal Bhutto instructed that proactive measures be taken deal any situation.
