Nasir Hussain Shah said that concerned departments have been put on alert in all districts of Sindh
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Minister for Energy, Planning, and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Thursday said that the Sindh government is fully prepared to tackle flood situation.
Speaking to Dunya News, Nasir Hussain Shah said that all arrangements are in place and the government is prepared to handle any emergency situation. He said that concerned departments have been put on alert in all districts of Sindh.
Replying to a question regarding the situation in various barrages in Sindh, Nasir Shah said that gates of all barrages are in good condition. He said that The Sindh Chief Minister is personally monitoring the situation.
He said that the floodwaters from Punjab will now enter Sindh which will affect the Kachha areas. He added that India released water from it dams suddenly, which resulted devastating floods in Punjab.
He said that Pakistan is one of the countries most affected by climate change.
