Chief minister issues final warning to concerned contractors
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday took notice of sanitation workers of "Suthra Punjab" not receiving their full salaries.
Expressing strong displeasure over the non-payment of minimum wages, the chief minister issued a final warning to the concerned contractors.
The CM directed that sanitation workers of Suthra Punjab must be paid the full minimum wage in every city, and no mistreatment of workers will be tolerated.
She issued clear instructions to the Local Government Department and relevant authorities that if any complaints about underpayment of workers arise in the future, strict action will be taken against the contractors.
