KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) has prepared its preliminary report on the explosion at a fireworks warehouse.

According to the report, around 500 kilograms of fireworks material was burnt during the blast, the sound of which was heard up to 5–7 kilometers away.

The report stated that the explosion caused destruction within a 100-meter radius. It further revealed that three warehouses inside the building still contain fireworks material, while two containers placed in a nearby ground are also stocked with fireworks.

The findings showed that a total of 5,000 kilograms of fireworks material is currently present. The accused, Hanif, used to import the material from different cities and abroad, and also manufactured fireworks at the back of the same building.

The BDU has recommended that all fireworks material be immediately shifted to a safe location and disposed of to prevent any further accidents.
